About

I ride so I have something true to write down

I'm Aman. I ride a Royal Enfield Himalayan across the parts of India that are hard to get to and harder to leave — the cold desert of Spiti, the salt flats of Kutch, the monsoon Ghats. Mostly solo, mostly slow, always taking notes.

This site isn't a highlight reel. It's an honest log: real distances, the weather I misjudged, the punctures, the mechanics who refused my money and asked for biscuits. If a number here looks oddly specific, it's because it happened.

I'm not chasing records. I'm chasing the specific quiet you only get at 4,000 metres with the engine off and nobody around. The writing is how I hold onto it.
